Dr. Kenneth Wong

Dental Surgeon

With 29 years of experience in providing general family dentistry following his graduation from the University of Toronto’s Dental School in 1990. Dr. Wong decided to settle in Burlington in 2013 with another practice. Determined to make his dreams come true, he opened Affinity Dental Care in Burlington in 2019 and has been providing quality care to the community ever since.

The years have not dampened his passion for dentistry; quite the opposite, actually. Dr. Wong continues to participate in ongoing seminars and lectures led by world-renowned clinicians speaking on new and advanced dental treatments and techniques that he brings back to his practice and patients.

His extensive experience and knowledge has allowed him to provide more than just routine cleanings and general dentistry. Dr. Wong provides complex treatments for those dealing with dental decay and cosmetic issues. He has successfully provided root canal therapies for complex root morphologies, crowns and bridges, inlays and onlays, braces for both children and adults, and treatment for sore jaws due to grinding and clenching. In addition, he has also done full mouth reconstructions for persons with severely worn teeth, gum disease management and tissue grafts, and dental implant placements/replacements of missing teeth. Dr Wong is also proficient in providing full and partial dentures, porcelain veneers, and tooth extractions with socket preservation.

With his beautiful wife Josie and their 2 kids. they reside in the Aldershot community, where they have been living since 2013. In his spare time, Dr Wong always enjoys a good game of badminton, some rounds of golf and brushing up on his photography skills.

Dr. Wong enjoys giving back to his community with his involvement with several organizations including Community Living Burlington, the Halton Region Chinese Canadian Association and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Halton. In Burlington, he has finally found his home. One for years to come!

Gini

Certified Hygienist

Gini was born in Sarnia, Ontario but has been calling the Hamilton/Burlington area home for the last 10 years. Always being drawn to people’s smiles and wishing to help improve their health, she developed a desire to work in the dental field. While attending Niagara College, she proved to be an exceptional student. Her hard work and determination were recognized by her place on the President’s Honour Roll. Nominated by her educators and fellow dental hygiene students, she was the recipient of the Tribute award and awarded the Kim Dumencu Scholarship for her strength of character, integrity, communication, congeniality, and personality. An outstanding and caring hygienist, she has worked alongside Dr. Wong since their days at Martindale Dental on James and Martha Street. Gini treats each patient like a friend, and has maintained patient relationships even after her maternity leave. Gini is passionate about helping children with myofunctional disorders that can affect the normal development of the jaw, face, and cranium. She has successfully completed the myofunctional therapy program and is being certified to provide myofunctional therapy to kids and adults. Making connections, listening, and truly caring for people has kept her passion alive in the dental hygiene field for the last 11 years.

Gini is married, with two children, aged 21 years and 2 years. When she’s not helping others maintain their smiles, she’s with her family and friends. An avid dancer, she loves trying new restaurants, and travelling to beautiful places.

Aracely

Certified Assistant

Meet Aracely! An El Salvador native, she migrated to Canada with her family in 2006. Since then, her, her parents, and her three brothers have been proud Hamiltonians.

In 2021, Aracely fulfilled her dream of working in oral health and joined the Affinity Dental Care team to help keep smiles beautiful! She graduated from Anderson College as an Intra-Oral Dental Assistant in 2022.

Some of her favourite hobbies include going to the beach in the summertime, and taking her Labrador-Rottweiler, Oso (meaning Bear!) on long walks everyday.

Rebecca Mills

Office Administrator

Rebecca Mills is a skilled receptionist with over 20 years of experience working in Medical and Dental clinics. Her professionalism is matched by her welcoming smile, friendly demeanor and positive attitude towards patients. Rebecca is a Burlington resident and a big animal lover, with a passion for raising monarch butterflies in her sanctioned butterfly garden. When she’s not at work, she enjoys travelling, cooking and crafting.

Josie

Office Administrator

If you’ve been a patient at Affinity Dental Care for a while, you’ve probably seen Josie’s friendly face around the office! The manager of the team since the very beginning, she’s always happy to help find you the perfect appointment time or just to have a quick chat. Josie opens-mindedly floated through various jobs after graduating in Mathematics from the University of Toronto. After attending a seminar about the connection between oral and overall health, she knew she wanted to help bridge the language gap in the health sector as a multilinguist. Fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, Josie is the heart of the office and forever ready to greet you with a bright smile.
